Where is the Texas Rowing Center located?

We are located across from Austin High School on the north shore of Lady Bird Lake next to the hike and bike trail.  Our address is 1514 W. Cesar Chavez, Austin, TX 78703,(https://maps.app.goo.gl/FFepdV3c2rBwKppX8) which works in any GPS.

Is there nearby parking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you may park on the street behind us (Stephen F. Austin Dr).  The street is metered from 8:30AM to 6:00PM during weekdays only.  There is no metering on weekends or holidays.

What if parking on the street is full?

Accepted Answer

If there is no more street parking, there is additional parking in the parking lot under Mopac Bridge.  This parking lot is about a 5-minute walk west of Texas Rowing Center and you can reach it by walking along the street or the hike and bike trail.  During the weekends, you may also park in the Austin High School parking lot across the street from Texas Rowing Center.

Walking directions from the Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail?

We are located on the hike and bike trail approximately a 5-minute walk along the north side of the river going east from Mopac Bridge, or a 15-minute walk on the north side of the river going west from the Pedestrian Bridge (the first bridge after Barton Springs).

Where can I park during special Austin events such as ACL?

Accepted Answer

During ACL, you can still park on the street or in the parking lot under the Mopac Bridge. During our special events such as the July 4th fireworks, we recommend getting here early to ensure you can get a parking spot.  We also suggest ridesharing if possible.
