Stand-up paddleboarding is a great option for all paddlers, beginner to experienced! To learn everything you need to know about stand-up paddleboarding in Austin for the first time, check out our blog article.

Our stand-up paddleboards have straps that can hold small items such as shoes or clothing. Larger items such as coolers can also be kept on the SUPs. You are welcome to keep small items in the box we provide when you rent. Your box is kept behind the front desk. Shoes and clothing can also be kept on the dock at our picnic tables.

Dogs under 50 lbs are welcome to come with you on your SUP! We offer doggy and child life jackets. To read the latest on the Lady Bird Lake water safety for your pup, visit https://www.austintexas.gov/page/algae. Kids of any age are allowed on a SUP when accompanied by an adult. Kids ages 8-15 can paddle their own SUP if accompanied by an adult, and kids ages 16 and older can rent their own boards.

Nope! We rent on a first-come, first-served basis. We have a massive fleet of over 500 SUPs to ensure that you can get right onto the water. Reservations are only required for our special Austin events – Latino Moonlight Serenades and July 4th Fireworks.

Texas law requires children under the age of 14 to wear a life vest when paddling in Austin. However, ages 14 and older are only required to have the life-vest with them on the board, but we strongly recommend wearing your life-vest if you are not a strong swimmer. Life jackets are provided to all customers free of charge as part of your rental, and we also have doggy life vests!

It is hot and sunny in Austin, so we recommended bringing water and sunscreen with you on your stand-up paddleboard! We have water filling stations and sunscreen at our rental desk to help protect you from the Austin sun. We also sell dry bags if you want to take your phone with you to get the best photos of downtown Austin!

We suggest wearing any clothing that you don’t mind getting wet! The most popular clothing is bathing suits or athletic gear.

We rent SUPs, kayaks, and canoes to ages 16 and older. Kids ages 8-15 can paddle their own SUPs if a parent is with them. There is no minimum age for children to be in kayaks or canoes when accompanied by an adult!
