JUNIORS ROWING PROGRAM // SPRING 2017 SEMESTER
Our Juniors Program is dedicated to developing young rowers by teaching technique, teamwork, and self-discipline. Our fall semester was a great success with over 200 young people being trained under the watchful eyes of our coaching staff. We look forward to continuing to develop our young rowers during the spring 2017 semester, which begins on January 4th and runs through June 1st. The tuition cost for the spring 2017 semester is $550. Austin Independent School District students receive a special discounted rate of $525 per semester ($350 per trimester for St. Stephens students).
Juniors Semester Tuition (including St. Stephens) can now be purchased online using credit cards or PayPal. Please include the name of the student in the note section when buying online, and bring your receipt to the club when redeeming your purchase.

Physical Education Credit
Texas Rowing Center is an approved provider for off campus for physical education credit. Our program satisfies all physical education credit requirements of AISD, Eanes, St. Stephen’s, RRISD and others. Check with your school district to see if Texas Rowing Center is an approved provider for your school district. To receive AISD P.E. Credit, you must return the AISD Application and Waiver Package to your school counselor by January 4th.
Start this process early! The application must have all approved signatures and be turned in by the 1st day of classes for the student to receive PE credit.
Our competitive program challenges those high-school students who want to train to race competitively in regattas. We hone the talents of each individual by improving fitness and developing technical proficiency. Athletes practice and race in sculling singles, doubles, quads, fours and eights. Our goal is to develop team boats capable of competing in regattas and winning state and national championships.
The Recreational Crew is the best option for students who are interested in rowing and paddling, but are not interested in competing. This program is perfect for new rowers and experienced rowers alike from grades 6 to 12. In addition to rowing, students learn to kayak, canoe, and stand-up paddle boards. The goal for crew members is to learn boating techniques and endurance, while experiencing the excitement of the water. Recreational Crew members are invited to participate in local regattas and inter-squad races.
Flexible Practice Schedule
The following program schedule provides maximum flexibility so that busy students can choose the practice schedule and degree of commitment to suit their individual goals:

Non-Racing Summer Rowing Program
For Juniors who want to row over the summer, but do not want to compete, we offer a summer rowing membership and coaching. This program is open to any middle-school or high-school rower who plans to row for TRC during the Fall Semester. Inexperienced rowers will have their own coach to teach basic rowing skills. Our Juniors coaching staff will coach water practices every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:45 to 6:45PM. Practices begin Monday, June 20th and run through Friday, August 12th. Summer membership also includes unlimited rowing during TRC regular hours from the end of the Spring Semester to the beginning of the Fall Semester. The cost for the Summer Program is $350 per student. You can pay at the boathouse or online through PayPal below.
